The National Cybersecurity Alliance has been celebrating Data Privacy Week since January 2008. The goal is to spread awareness about online privacy. Data privacy should be a priority both for individuals and organizations and the goal is twofold: helping citizens understand that they have the power to manage their data, and helping organizations understand why it is important that they respect their users’ data.
